  Search for a Solicitor Advocate

Follow us

The Society of Solicitor Advocates runs an Introductory Course for Prospective Solicitor Advocates each year - usually in May.

The event is intended for all solicitors (civil or criminal) who are thinking about applying for extended rights of audience but unsure of what is involved. Please contact our administrator if you would like to attend the next Introductory Course, or to find out more about it.

In general, however, the process of becoming a solicitor advocate is set by the Law Society of Scotland, as the professional governing body for all Scottish solicitors.

The Law Society runs the solicitor advocate training courses and exams and you can obtain copies of the Guidance Notes and Application forms from the Law Society website.
