What is Instruct+?
Instruct+ ® is a communication tool, making it easier for solicitors to find a solicitor advocate who is experienced in a particular field, or to arrange court cover at short notice.

It allows you to complete a simple form – with your details, the area of practice your case concerns, the date, time and location – and email it to those of our members who practice in that field. Members who have downloaded our Instruct+ app will also receive the message via the app, ensuring that they can respond quickly to enquiries, even when on the go.

If any of our members are free, and interested, they will contact you directly, by phone or email, and you can then arrange cover as you would normally.

Instruct+ relates only to the initial enquiry. All other communication between parties is done outwith Instruct+

Who can use Instruct+?
Only solicitors and solicitor advocates can use Instruct+ to send enquiries to our members.

I’m a member of the Society of Solicitor Advocates. Can I use Instruct+?
All members of the Society of Solicitor Advocates – with the exception of prosecutors - will automatically receive enquiries through Instruct+, unless they decide to opt out.

Members will automatically be able to send enquiries through Instruct+ as well.

Who sees the enquiries sent by Instruct+?
Enquiries will be sent to our members, with the exception of those of our members who are also prosecutors. A copy of each enquiry will also be sent to the Society of Solicitor Advocates, so that we can act to prevent any abuse of the system.

Will prosecutors see my enquiry?
No. Prosecutors will not be part of the enquiry system.

What about client confidentiality?
The only information used by the system relates to the date, time, location and area of practice of the hearing for which cover is required. No confidential information is required.

How can I stop receiving Instruct+ enquiries?
Contact our administrator and she will ensure that you no longer receive the enquiries.

Where can I download the Instruct+ app? 
You’ll find it in Apple’s App Store.

What does the app do?
The app is only for members of the Society of Solicitor Advocates. It allows them to receive Instruct+ enquiries in a more convenient manner.

How do I enable push messages on the App?
The Instruct+ App sends push notifications to your iPhone whenever you receive an Instruct+ email enquiry. If you initially turned off the push messages, then it is easy to turn them back on again. You need to change the settings on your iPhone (not on the App). Simply select Settings, then Notifications. Then find the Instruct+ App on the list and edit the settings to allow notifications.
