New Sheriff Principal 03/08/2016 The Scottish Government recently announced the appointment of Sheriff Craig Turnbull as Sheriff Principal of the Sheriffdom of Glasgow and Strathkelvin.

The Scottish Government recently announced the appointment of Sheriff Craig Turnbull as Sheriff Principal of the Sheriffdom of Glasgow and Strathkelvin. Sheriff Turnbull will take up his appointment from 1st September 2016.

Craig Turnbull is a Sheriff in the Sheriffdom of North Strathclyde, sitting predominantly at Greenock and Dumbarton Sheriff Courts. A graduate of the University of Strathclyde, he was admitted as a solicitor in 1988, working for A.C.White in Ayr and Levy & McRae in Glasgow before joining MacRoberts in 1993.

He became a partner there in 1997, specialising in commercial and construction disputes and health and safety and environmental prosecutions. He was appointed as a part time sheriff in 2011 and served as the managing partner of MacRoberts from 2011 - 2014.
