Move for Irvine JP Court

The Scottish Court Service has announced that Irvine JP Court will move to Kilmarnock from Monday 24th December.

North Ayrshire Council is in the throes of regenerating Irvine Town Centre, and the Irvine Town House Building, within which the Court currently sits, is part of the regeneration programme.

“The recent plans by North Ayrshire mean we have had to put in place business continuity arrangements for Irvine Justice of the Peace Court business,” said Eric McQueen, Interim CEO SCS. “This may prove to be the better long term arrangement for the future but I remain committed to the public consultation arrangements and we will consider carefully any proposals or suggestions which come forward for the future of Irvine JP Court.”
