SSA - Prior & Inconsistent Statements 02/11/2018 Advocacy Training Session Friday 2nd November 2pm - 5pm in Glasgow

The SSA are keen to promote good practice in court for all and as such these training sessions are open to all Solicitor Advocates and Solicitors.

This session will be hosted by Iain Paterson who has specialised in criminal defence for about 25 years. He is seen as one of Scotland’s leading solicitor advocates and has been accredited as a senior solicitor advocate by the Law Society of Scotland. He represents individuals and companies in the High Court of Justiciary and the Court of Criminal Appeal. He is a down to earth and straight talking lawyer who can immediately focus the issues and problems any client may face.

The session will give plenty practice on dealing with prior and inconsistent statements.

Previous sessions have been well received, as well as providing an opportunity to practice Advocacy skills they also encourage networking and exchange of ideas. NITA training methods may be used and may include videotaping performances for feedback on technique and style.

Materials will be sent out to those who reserve their place. Places are limited and there is a charge of £75 per session for non-members and £50 for SSA members which must be paid prior to the session.

3.5 Hours verifiable CPD for Scottish Solicitors and Solicitor Advocates
