Biography

As an experienced litigator, David has an extensive range of experience in both Pursuer and Defender reparation as well as commercial disputes. He is dual qualified in Scotland and England and has rights of audience in the Court of Session as a Solicitor Advocate. He has 20 years of experience in dealing with complex and high value cases in the Sheriff Court, the Court of Session as well as the High Court in England. He has acted for a number of insurers in Health and Safety prosecutions brought against their corporate clients. He has appeared in Sheriff Courts all over Scotland in both proofs and fatal accident inquiries.

Having worked in the Commercial Litigation Department of Linklaters for 4 years, he gained extensive experience in advising on all aspects of banking and regulatory disputes. He also spent one year in the Legal Department of British Airways Plc as in-house legal counsel. David joined Brodies in 2006, having previously been a partner in Bishops Solicitors.
